Tourists saved after speedboat sank off Trat | Bangkok Post: news

(Police photo)TRAT - Twenty-three tourists, a boat driver and two boat attendants were rescued as their speedboat sank in the sea on their way from Koh Kut island to the Laem Sok port in tambon Ao Yai of Muang district off the eastern province Tuesday night. Soldiers, police, customs officials and rescue workers deployed their boats to save all victims who were floating, wearing life vests in stormy sea. It was reported that the speedboat carried a group of tourists including the wife of the Khlong Yai district chief. They were located about three kilometres off the Laem Sok port.
